What to do with your old broken iPad?
This video will show you what you can do to fix repair your old broken iPad.
Hi All,
I get allot of questions about old broken iPads so I thought I would put up a quick video about what you can do if anything with your older iPads. These steps will work with iPads, iPhones and iPods. This is helpful if you have got a new iPad and you want to retire your old iPad give it away or sell it and even recycle it for cash.
The first tip I mentioned was to make sure you have fully charged your iPad this is mainly for people that have faulty power cords or their laptop isn’t charging the device properly via the computer USB. Apple recently has recalled allot of these devices because they are faulty and I will go over how to work out if you cable is a faulty one or not. So its just something to try if you iPad or iOS device is not powering on properly.
The next step is to clear out and personal data if you want to give away or sell the iPad. To do this its pretty easy go to Settings > General > Reset and then Erase all content and settings. This will put the device back into a factory default state simular to when you purchased the iPad.
The next step is to check your iOS version. Apple update the software on the iPad called firmware all the time and when they update this some apps may also need an update before they will work.
Now you can update the iOS by doing a OTA over the air update or you can do a full clean update by doing a DFU update. I wont go into this to much as I already have a video about how this is done and you can see it on the link below.

Apple iPhone 6S Plus Rose Gold Unboxing
This video will show you the Apple iPhone 6S Plus Unboxing & Firstlook.
On the 24th of September Apple released its latest version of the iPhone, the Apple iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus. Like the release of the iPhone 6 Plus back in 2014.
Like the iPhone 6, the Apple iPhone 6S comes in two different display sizes.
* Apple iPhone 6S 4.7-inch (diagonal) LED-backlit widescreen next-generation Multi‑Touch display with IPS technology and Taptic Engine 1334 x 750 pixel resolution 401 ppi
* Apple iPhone 6S Plus 5.5-inch (diagonal) LED-backlit widescreen next-generation Multi‑Touch display with IPS technology and Taptic Engine 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution 401 ppi
The next thing you will notice is the colours and Apple’s latest colour happens to be Rose Gold or in other words pink!
If you are looking to buy the Apple iPhone 6S Plus then prices start at $649, $749 and $849’s USD and thats for the 16GB, 64GB and 128GB.
Apples big selling point for the iPhone 6S is a new technology called 3D touch. And the only way that I can describe it is by calling it a click within a click. It uses different pressures on the screen to allow different features and functions on the phone. So for example you can use 3D touch when web browsing to bring up a preview page of a link that you press on without actually having to browse to that page.
Its a pretty cool addition to the iPhone and force touch was also added the Apple MacBook Pro 13 inch Retina Display 2015. You can check out the 123myIT.com video on the link just added.

iPhone DFU Mode – iPhone is disabled
This video will show you how to put an iOS device into DFU Mode & fix the error iPhone is disabled.
Hi All,
I always get allot of questions on what to do if an iDevice Apple iPhone, iPad or iPod has been locked and the device gives and error the “iPhone is disabled“. Basically, you cannot remember the password and get access to the device.
This happened to me recently, when I switched from an Apple iPhone 4S to the new Samsung Galaxy S5. Because I had not used my old iPhone in a long time. I could not remember what passcode I had set on the device.
The Official Apple process suggests an Erase and restore method. This erases all data on the idevice, so be aware that you will lose contacts, pictures and any other personal data on the device. Apple say that once you erase the device you can restore the data from iCloud, if you were lucky enough to have an iCloud account or if you have made an iTunes back up then you can do an iTunes restore of the data.
For me I figured if I didn’t need to access any of the data on the phone for such a long time, Then I probably wouldn’t need it after all. So in the video above I just do a clean install of iOS.
iPhone DFU Mode – which stands for Device Firmware Upgrade, allows the device to be flashed with a new version of iOS. Just bare in mind that Apple only allows you to upgrade your iOS version. You cannot go sideways or down in versions, as a general rule.
In the video example above, I had to use iPhone DFU Mode to upgrade the device from iOS 7 to iOS 8. Once I do this upgrade it is very hard if not impossible to roll back this change.

How to Add Bookmarks in IOS 8
This video will show you how to Add Bookmarks in IOS 8.
Hi All,
I always cringe a bit when I see people that use their iOS device everyday. But still have the same old default Apple, Bing, Google and Yahoo Bookmarks icons in their Safari browser. This also goes for any Mac running OS X Yosemite as the home page on these Mac’s now defaults to a bookmarks screen bringing them inline with their iOS devices.
I really don’t like this page as I feel its locking people in. However its here to stay so we may as well work with it.
So the steps to add a Bookmark in iOS is pretty straight forward, all you need to do is go the website you want to add. For the example in the video I used the www.123myit.com website. Once you have browsed to your website. Press the up arrow icon in the middle of the page at the bottom.
Once this is done you will see a menu which contains the Add Bookmark, Add to Reading List, Add to Home Screen, Add to Shared Links buttons, press the Add Bookmark button and this will take you to the next screen.
The next screen will have the Bookmark that you want to save, at this stage you can change the heading of the Book mark if you wish. In the video I have removed the “Your complete IT help portal” from the 123myit.com Bookmark. Once you have adjusted the heading simply press save.
Once saved the Bookmark will show up every time you start a new Safari browser session.

Recently I through it might be a good idea to purchase the iPhone 6 Plus to do a review and unboxing for everyone. Normally I am not such an Apple fan boy, however the part that sold me on the iPhone 6 plus was a few things.
* Greater battery life
* 5.5 inch LED-backlit widescreen Multi‑Touch display with IPS technology
* 1920-by-1080-pixel resolution at 401 ppi
Which is pretty awesome. How comfortable the phone is in your hand when talking on the phone remains to be seen.
Also it make you wonder if Apple plan to kill off the iPad mini with the size of this phone? If is the price difference between the iPad and iPhone will keep it safe.

Well of course the iPhone 6 plus is thinner over all, however the camera on the back of the phone does stick out. As for the phone size I do worry about my pocket getting smaller, I carry my phone in my left side pocket and one of the great things about the iPhone 4S was it fits well in small pockets.
The also has been allot said about the iPhone 6 Plus bending, when using the phone I did not notice any type of movement in the chassis of the phone. So if you are a normal user of the phone I wouldn’t worry about this.

Hi All,
As mentioned in the video above I went to reload the firmware on an iPad mini and iTunes started downloading Apple newly updated iOS 8.
The supported models for the iPhone start at the iPhone 4S and up. The iPad 2’s and up and the iPod 5th generation only.

Also before you upgrade you should try and save your signed shsh blobs file. This will allow you to downgrade back to iOS 7 is you so wish.
