Forgotten Passcode on iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Forgotten Passcode on iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

This video will show you how to remove your forgotten passcode on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. This is helpful if you have forgotten your passcode or don’t know what it is.

Have you ever forgotten passcode before on your iPad? or has a family member added a passcode and then forgotten the passcode?
My first advice or words of wisdom would be to try and remember the original passcode first. If you still can’t remember the passcode then this video will show you how to remove the passcode from your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. The drawback to this is that you will lose any data on your device so it’s essential that you backup your device at all times. You can backup the device either through iTunes or iCloud.

Ok so the next step is to plug in your device into the computer that you synced the device with. Make sure this is the same computer that you sync the device with iTunes. If you get a passcode message this means you have plugged the device into the wrong computer. So try a different computer in your household.

If you have plugged the device into the correct computer in your iTunes there you should have a button which says restore iPad. To erase the iPad and get rid of the passcode you click the restore iPad button and you will see another window pop-up which says restore so go ahead and click restore. The iTunes will go ahead and download the iOS software which it will then restore on your iPad and this step will remove the passcode from your iPad. Make sure that your computer is connected to the internet because iTunes will download this software from apple.

Once the download has completed iTunes will extract the software to your iPad and then your iPad will restart and the passcode will be removed.

VPN which one should you use?

VPN which one should you use?

This video will recommend two VPN service providers a free version CyberGhost and a paid version Private Internet Access. Virtual Private Network’s are used to make your network connection private.

Hi All, I wanted to do a video on VPNs which stands for Virtual Private Networks. What does it do I hear you ask? It actually makes the network that you are on private. So you can use a VPN to make your network private anonymous and secure.

In this video I go into a few ways on how Virtual Private Network’s are used and I will also give a few examples on how I personally use a VPN. Now the reason why I want to do this video is because I actually wanted a VPN to use for personal use and I decided it would be a good opportunity to test a few different VPNs so that I had a really good idea of what a good VPN is and this would allow me to recommend these VPN’s to others.
Also there are a lot of different VPN providers out there so it can be quite confusing if you are looking for a VPN to know which is the best VPN to use.

So what can you use a VPN for?
* Downloading
VPNs have been used in the past and make a user’s connection private when downloading content from the Internet it can be used to make your connection anonymous therefore you are harder to track.
* Gaming
VPNs have been used by gamers to route the gaming traffic towards a gaming server when their ISP may be routing their traffic in a different direction.
This has the potential to lower gaming ping and therefore improve gaming latency to a gaming server however my testing using a VPN to improve ping to a gaming server has not been successful.
* Geolocation
A Virtual Private Network can be used to give you access to information that otherwise might be filtered by a country or ISP.
For example some news websites may be filtered by your country that does not want you to access them.
Some movie content that is only available for free to the citizens of that country. An example of where this is applied to me is getting access to the BBC iPlayer which is only available if you are British if I use a VPN to connect to a British server I can access all the content that a British citizen would be able to access. I was also able to make a free 1800 call to the US by connecting to a US VPN server and then starting up Skype which allowed me to call the 1-800 number for free as if I was a US citizen.

VPN

* Hide
From hackers or governments that otherwise might be able to scan or hack your connection IP. This is not a fail safe of course but its a good start. Always remember that nothing is safe online only after unplugging from the network can you really guarantee a safe environment. Even then if you are on an iPhone that isn’t connected to a provider you can still be hacked through the emergency call function. Pretty scary stuff.

Update ASUS Laptop Bios

Update ASUS Laptop Bios

This video will show you how to update Asus laptop bios using a program called Winflash. Recently I did a video which highlighted an issue with the Asus GL702 Strix gaming laptop.
In game lag which would lag the game out every time turbo boost was used. I went and posted this fix on the Republic of Gamers forums and about a week later Asus released a bios fix. They also deleted my current post so thanks for that Asus.
However at least I highlighted an issue and they were able to fix the problem with a bios update.
Link below.
https://www.123myit.com/2017/05/asus-strix-gl702v-game-lag-fixed/

If you go to the downloads part of the 123myit.com website. And scroll down to the bios link, I have added the BIOS upgrade for the GL702 system I have also added the winflash program.

You can use these two programs to upgrade the BIOS on your laptop. You can actually just download the winflash program and click on get bios from the web and it should go out and choose the correct bios for your model of laptop. If this doesn’t work I suggest doing a Google search for your correct model of laptop and then downloading the correct BIOS version for your laptop. Once this is done you will need to restart your laptop.

ASUS Strix GL702V Game Lag – Fixed

ASUS Strix GL702V Game Lag – Fixed

This video will show you how to fix in game lag by turning off Turbo Boost.
I had a massive problem that the Asus themselves could not fix and this related to in game lag. This lag would slow the game down every five seconds or so and the frame rate would drop from around 40-50 to below 20. This would happen in multiple games such as Elder scrolls online and Player Unknowns Battlegrounds. I was so stressed and frustrated with this lag so I want to try and help others hopefully fix this issue if they are having it.

This big issue is when you buy a product and you have a problem with it and you try your upmost to get help with that problem and no one listens. I had put a post up on the Asus ROG forum and it was removed when I said Asus service centre couldn’t resolve the problem. Which was the truth. But it made Asus look bad so they removed it because it proved that there was an issue with their laptops. Shortly after they released BIOS 305 Update thermal policy to reduce CPU temperature. 🙂 I will do a video shortly on this update. But it has really left a sour taste in my mouth with regards to their after sales support.
After all, they only need to acknowledge that there is an issues and that they are looking for a fix.

The picture below shows the game at the drop of 19 frames per second.

Game Lag

The tool I used to turn off Turbo Boost is called Throttle Stop and you can find it here. Simply download and install Throttle Stop, then run he program and you should get a series of check boxes, simple select the checkbox that you want to change and click save. This should then apply the setting you wish to apply. Don’t forget this will reset after a reboot so you might have to reapply the setting when you restart the computer.

Throttle Stop - Game Lag

Good luck guys, I hope it helps out.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Pre Order Preview

Samsung Galaxy S8 Pre Order Preview

This video & article will show you the Samsung Galaxy S8 Pre Order Preview.

Thinking about getting the Samsung Galaxy S8 Pre Order? In this video I will show you what to expect when you order Samsung latest phone.
Included in the box is a Samsung Gear VR and a music docking station. This allows you to place your Samsung phone on the docking station so that your music can be amplified through the docking station.

Samsung VR Gear

You also get a Samsung Galaxy carry bag. It seems that Samsung maybe trying to woo back its customers after the failed Samsung Galaxy note 7 launch.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Pre Order Bag

I feel like allot of this free stuff is just cheap stuff that they couldn’t sell anyway. So I am wondering if those who purchased the Samsung Galaxy S8+ found any value in the extra items, the Samsung bag, Gear VR headset or the music docking station. I understand they are trying to build a market for the Samsung Gear VR sets and by giving them away they are promoting the VR side of things. However for me personally I still haven’t opened the Gear VR headset that I got with the Samsung S7 phone last year!

Samsung Galaxy Speaker Dock

I have yet to test the speaker dock it looks ok on first glance. Would I go out and buy one of these docks the answer would be no. I think a better option would have been to give away a wireless charger with the Samsung Galaxy S8. I think that show people the benefits of a wireless charger would have been a much better idea. However maybe the cost of a wireless charger would be too much.
The wireless charger retails for $99s AUD, so maybe the extra cost would be too much for Samsung.
