  1. Hi,

I have additional problem to just turning Work offline button. When I go to Send/Receive and click on Work offline email and password box pop up asking me for password which I typed in but it wont save and it keeps coming back.

Im stuck with this for over a two weeks and I don’t know what to do.

    Can you please help?

    Thank you

    • Hi Ivana K
Try changing your password. If you password has expired it might be wanting you to change it. Once you have changed your password type the new on in Outlook.
Let me know how you get on.

      • I get that SAME issue and no matter how many password changes I make Outlook stays in offline mode asking for the correct password that I just changed 30 seconds ago.
My other devices can get emails just fine however, outlook is the broken piece.

  2. Hi Mat,

    Thank you for respond.
I have tried changing a password but it didn’t work. It keeps popping back asking me for password and it won’t save.
I haven’t done any work in days and this is frustrating.

    What can I do?

    Thank you

    • Hi Ivana Kostic
The next would be to setup the account from scratch again.
EG delete your old account and setup a new one from scratch.
This time use the new password etc.
      Cheers

      • Cheers,
I do not want to just dump all the emails that are retrieved via POP, if it was all IMAP sure.
Why would Microsoft allow a but llike this to still exist and not fix it.
Outlook just switches automatically to offline mode.
There has to be a registry hack to bypass that.
Then again it is MS might explain it.
