Stop Pop-Up Ads on Android

Stop Pop-Up Ads on Android video.

Hi Guys welcome to 123myIT! In this video & article we will show you how to Stop Pop-Up Ads on your Android device. Helpful if you are getting Ads when browsing the internet.

Stop Pop-Up Ads.

Ok guys so you have been browsing the web on your Android device and suddenly for no reason you are getting Pop-up Ads. Now I have turned on some of the Ads features on my Android phone and these are some of the Ads that started appearing.

Stop Pop-Up Ads on Android
Gas Bottle Android Ad Pop-Up

Gas bottles, Private offices for hire and Tarot Reading are the Ads that came up and this are not relevant to me at all. Something that is really annoying about these ads is, that I don’t need any of the stuff that comes up on the Ad.

Step 1 – Remove google ads on phone and browser.

Depending on which browser you use on your Android device it might be different. However I will show you the few options on the different Android devices I use. So go into the browser you use and into the settings of that browser.

Oppo phone default browser: Block ads – you can turn this off and on. In the video you can see here that it has already blocked so many ads.
Scroll down to Block pop-ups.
Go into Clear browsing data and you will see three different options. Clear saved passwords > Clear browsing history > Clear cookies and data.

I would clear the bottom two but you can clear all just be aware that it will forget all your passwords.

Stop Pop-Up Ads – Chrome Browser

If you use the Chrome browser go to the three dots and settings. Scroll down to Site settings > Pop-ups and redirects menu.
Also you can go into the Ads menu and change that.
If you then go back out and go into Privacy, scroll to the bottom and press Clear Browsing Data. Advanced, and you will have the options of what you want to clear for the Chrome browser as well.

Next go into the Settings menu on your Android device. Go down to your Google account.
Press on Ads, you can then tap the opt out of Ads Personalisation. And next press on Ads by Google.
This launches a FAQ on Google Ads. If you want to know more about them have a read through. However what we are after is if you want to scroll to where it says Google and advertising standards. So find your country and opt out. Here is the link if you need it. https://support.google.com/ads/answer/1660762?hl=en

Now once you have done this I would suggest restarting your Android device and testing it for a while. If it is the Google Ads then they should stop coming through. If you are still getting pop-ups then try the next steps.

Step 2 – Remove recently installed Apps.

It might be a recently installed app doing the pop-ups, so remove any recently installed apps one by one and test. Go into Settings > App Management, find the app you are after and press it. Then tap uninstall. Do a restart of the phone and test it again. If you are still getting popups then go to the next step.

Step 3 – Install Malwarebytes.

Malwarebytes is a program that can Identify and remove malware from your Android device. Go to the play.google.com site and download install it.
Run the software update and scan your android device. Remove any Malware found and restart your Android device and test for popups. For more info on what Malware is go to WIKI here.

Step 4 – Backup Data and Reset Phone

If you go into Settings > Additional Settings and scroll down to Backup and Reset. Under that you can press Backup my data and then Backup my data now. Make sure that your data is backed up before you go to the next step.
Next Factory data reset > Erase all content and settings. This should hopefully be the last resort if you cant get rid of the ads.

Forgotten PIN Passcode Pattern on Samsung

This video will show you how to do a factory reset when you have Forgotten PIN Passcode Pattern on Samsung. The phone used In this video is the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.

In this video I will show you how to Unlock Samsung Phone if have Forgotten PIN Passcode or Pattern.
Ok guys so we have all done it, we have just setup a password or pin code on our Samsung device and we can’t remember what it was.

Forgotten PIN Passcode

The unlock method I am about to show you is called factory reset and it will remove the Password Pattern or PIN Code, but the down side is it will also wipe the data on the phone. Remember that a PIN or password is setup to protect the data on the phone in case you lose the phone. So I suggest to try to remember the passcode or pin first.

A tip that can help you remember is, put the phone down for 30 mins and don’t think about it. Come back to the phone and try your Pattern or PIN again. Sometimes your muscle memory will just do the code automatically without thinking about it. Its worked for me before.

Ok the next thing I need to mention is FRP Lock, Factory reset protection.
FRP lock locks your device with the Google account that you used on your phone. So if you dont know your Google account then I suggest trying to remember if first as you will be asked to enter it after we do the factory reset. To find the Google account you can go to settings and accounts.

Wipe data factory reset

Ok lets get started with the Factory reset.

Simultaneously press and hold the power button + volume up button + home key until the Samsung logo appears, then release only the power button. Release the volume up button and home key when the recovery screen appears. From the Android system recovery screen, select wipe data/factory reset.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Pre Order Preview

Samsung Galaxy S8 Pre Order Preview

This video & article will show you the Samsung Galaxy S8 Pre Order Preview.

Thinking about getting the Samsung Galaxy S8 Pre Order? In this video I will show you what to expect when you order Samsung latest phone.
Included in the box is a Samsung Gear VR and a music docking station. This allows you to place your Samsung phone on the docking station so that your music can be amplified through the docking station.

Samsung VR Gear

You also get a Samsung Galaxy carry bag. It seems that Samsung maybe trying to woo back its customers after the failed Samsung Galaxy note 7 launch.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Pre Order Bag

I feel like allot of this free stuff is just cheap stuff that they couldn’t sell anyway. So I am wondering if those who purchased the Samsung Galaxy S8+ found any value in the extra items, the Samsung bag, Gear VR headset or the music docking station. I understand they are trying to build a market for the Samsung Gear VR sets and by giving them away they are promoting the VR side of things. However for me personally I still haven’t opened the Gear VR headset that I got with the Samsung S7 phone last year!

Samsung Galaxy Speaker Dock

I have yet to test the speaker dock it looks ok on first glance. Would I go out and buy one of these docks the answer would be no. I think a better option would have been to give away a wireless charger with the Samsung Galaxy S8. I think that show people the benefits of a wireless charger would have been a much better idea. However maybe the cost of a wireless charger would be too much.
The wireless charger retails for $99s AUD, so maybe the extra cost would be too much for Samsung.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Silver Titanium Unboxing & Firstlook

This video will show you the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Silver Titanium unboxing & firstlook.

Well here it is guys the one you have all been waiting for the unboxing on the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Silver Titanium!
What I like most about this phone is that the we see the return of features that were taken out of the Samsung Galaxy S6 like waterproofing, dustproofing, SD micro card slot and heart rate monitor just to name a few. I am unsure why these were removed from the Samsung Galaxy S6 maybe it was issues with space on the new edge frame that was needed for the bigger battery.

Galaxy S7 Edge Silver Titanium SD Card

After using the phone for a while I do get the feeling the touch sensitivity wasn’t quite as good as the previous model the S6 Edge plus. When using the phone the side of the phone seem to catch the side so my hands a little bit more. Maybe I am getting fat! 🙂 The other thing I found quite annoying was the lock screen now seems to want two swipes to unlock. First you have to swipe once to move to the pattern screen then you have to swipe your pattern to unlock the phone.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Unboxing – not yet my 4K camera broke

I get halfway through my Samsung Galaxy S7 unboxing video and my Sony FDR- AX33 4K camera stops charging.

Hi All,
I thought I would put up a quick video about the troubles I was having with my Sony FDR- AX33 4K camera not charging when working on the Galaxy S7 unboxing and firstlook video. I got half way through the video and couldn’t continue because the charging cable just stopped charging the camera. I called Sony support last week and it took them a whole week to get back to me.

Sony FDR-AX33

If you look at the yellow mark in the top right hand corner of the picture above you will see where the battery icon has simply stopped charging even though the cable is plugged in.
Sony finally sent a courier to pick up the FDR-AX33 yesterday 29/03/2016 so I am out of action filming wise while they fix the issue.

Samsung Galaxy S7

However another option might be to use the Samsung Galaxy S7 camera for 4K filming. Its funny you know the official camera makers like Sony bring out the latest 4k cameras like the FDR-AX33 and then a few months later company’s like Samsung release a 4K camera on their phones. Will the camcorder become extinct in the next few years? I guess we will find out.

If you Google cell phone tripod you might have your answer it seems these little attachments are getting pretty popular. I have been looking around for a good one myself. Although I am still unsure which brand would be the best for me. I seem to think that allot of these attachments look quite cheap and that you phone could quite easily fall out of the attachment and get scratched or broken. So if anyone out there knows a good quality brand one to buy please lets me know in the comments field below. 🙂

Samsung Galaxy S6 edge + Unboxing & Firstlook

This video will show you the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge + Unboxing & Firstlook.

Hi All,
I was able to get my hands on the new Samsung Galaxy S6 edge + for an unboxing and review and right out of the box I was impressed with the care taken to the finish of the edge +.
In the picture below the phone at the top is the Galaxy S6 edge and the phone at the bottom is the Galaxy S6 edge +. On the top phone you can see how sharp the edge of the phone has been cut compared with the Galaxy S6 edge + below.

Galaxy S6 edge & Galaxy S6 edge +

When comparing the Galaxy S6 edge with the S6 edge +, the hardware is pretty much the same however the S6 edge + has a bigger 5.7 inch screen over the 5.1 inch screen of the S6 edge. And both models sport the 2560 x 1440 Super AMOLED display, with a 529 ppi. The larger model does have a bigger 3000 mAh battery to allow for the extra power used by the bigger screen. And this should get you around 20 hours of talk time.

After running the geek bench app to see what type of results we got from the powerful 8-core Exynos CPUs on the phones we can the results on the phones are very simular as you can imagine.
